Curated by Rosby’s Kay Norton-Knight for the internationally acclaimed Rosby Gallery - sculptor, Paul Bacon and painter, Leonie Barton’s joint collection of works - From an Umber Landscape - explores the depths of the Australian landscape as much as it dives into a discourse about form and process across artistic mediums.

More than two years in the making (sic. Covid) this conversation began in person- exploring the forms, colours and material, that both Bacon and Barton apply. Exchanging elements of their process virtually, the pair have riffed off each other to create a body of work, that is inspired yet individual.

Seeking each other out as conversational partners through two and three dimensional manifestations, this exhibition finds common ground in the Umber - perfectly toned to grace the interior and landscape of Rosby.
